➤ Brief about National Conference:
The conference from TRAI consultation paper and the National Digital Communications Policy, 2018, which gives focus to new technologies and OSP regulatory framework. There are lacuna and gaps in the present regulatory framework for OSPs and there is a need to simplify the terms, including restrictions on inter connectivity.
The clause 2.1.C.iv) of National Communication Digital Policy, 2018 in this behalf provides “Improving the Terms and Conditions for ‘Other Service Providers’, including definitions, compliance requirements and restrictions on inter-connectivity”
The BPOs/ITES and Call Centers provide employment to millions of youth in this Country and earns Billions of Dollars (Estimated to touch 70 lakhs in direct employment and USD 350 Billion in revenues by 2025). The Governmetn has plans to increase the BPO seats to 1, 00,000/- from 48,000 seats.
The Other Service Provider (OSP) regulation is the framework which enables the operation of BPOs in India. TRAI is currently seeking views on how to improve this framework. This conference is the core forum bringing together all stakeholders ranging from the industry to the government, to deliberate existing challenges threadbare to come up with solutions and approaches to give a boost to the BPO industry in India.
➤ Vision & Focus Areas:

The vision of the conference is to create a flourishing BPO/OSP industry, which is spread across India and provides job opportunities. To achieve the vision we plan to interface with the various Ministries of Govt. of India, State Governments, Labour/ESI Departments, Large customers and employee organizations and other Industry forums and contribute towards faster growth by overcoming challenges
